Help Backstretch Kids & Have Fun - Backstretch Clubhouse Casino Night and Auction Fundraiser at Emerald Downs on April 1st

Mark your calendars - April 1 - Backstretch Clubhouse Casino Night and Auction Fundraiser at Emerald Downs! To make this night a success, we depend on the generosity of others through time, auction items, ticket sales and sponsorships. There are several ways you can contribute; sponsor a table game, donate items or services, volunteer or just attend the event!

Any one personally or their business can sponsor a gaming table for $150 - partial amounts are OK too - as anything will help. An official flyer for the actual event is not yet out - because we are still working on the details - but time is closing in - so we've got to procure some items to auction!!! No item is too big or too small - anything to do with the thoroughbred industry is always a coveted item, sporting event tickets, artwork, dinners, themed baskets.... the possibilities are only limited to your imagination. We also need volunteers to help out on the night of the event, so please contact us if you like to contribute to the fun or need help coming up with a donation idea! WHBPA - 253-804-6822

The Auction is April 1 at Emerald Downs. It will not be your ordinary Auction. In addition to silent and live auction items we are planning a casino night! Guests will have fun playing with "fun money" that they later can use to bid on different prizes. There will also be items to bid on with "real" money too. We have a fun night planned that will offer many ways to help contribute to the Backstretch ClubHouse Scholarship Fund. The auction is open to everyone - those involved in racing and those that wish they were!

The Backstretch Clubhouse was the first childcare center located in the barn area of a racetrack in America. It was built entirely through donations of time, materials, money and fund raising. Established in 1998, the childcare center is a nonprofit 501(C3) organization dedicated to providing quality childcare at an affordable rate. The ultimate mission is for the Backstretch Clubhouse to turn no child away because of the families inability to pay.

Please consider this worthy cause. Providing a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment for the thoroughbred community's children is an investment in racing's future!

Sincerely,

The Backstretch ClubHouse Auction Committee
